Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last Updated · August 11, 2026

ExpoCut subscriptions are sold and billed exclusively through the Apple App Store and Google Play. We never receive or store your payment details, and all refunds are granted by the store you purchased from, under that store's rules. This page explains how cancellation and refunds work, how to request a refund on each platform, and what happens to your license afterwards. It supplements our Terms of Service (sections 2A–2B).

1. Cancelling your subscription

  • Cancelling turns off auto-renewal — it is not a refund. You keep full access to your paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for. Nothing is cut off early.
  • Where to cancel: on iOS, Settings ▸ your Apple ID ▸ Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play ▸ profile ▸ Payments & subscriptions ▸ Subscriptions. You can also reach these screens from the App via Settings ▸ Membership ▸ Manage subscription.
  • Deadline: cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, otherwise the store may still charge the next renewal.
  • After expiry: your account returns to the Free plan. Your projects and media are never deleted — they live on your device.
  • Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. Always cancel in your store settings.

2. Requesting a refund — Google Play (Android)

  • Within 48 hours of a charge: you can request the refund directly from Google via Google Play ▸ profile ▸ Payments & subscriptions ▸ Budget & order history ▸ the purchase ▸ Request a refund, or at Google Play's refund page.
  • After 48 hours: Google usually directs you to the developer. Email us at [email protected] from the email linked to your account with the order number (starts with GPA.) and we will review it in line with Google Play's policy. Where we agree a refund is warranted, we facilitate it through Google.
  • Accidental or unauthorized purchases (including purchases by minors) are handled by Google under its own policy — report them to Google as soon as possible.

3. Requesting a refund — App Store (iOS)

  • All App Store refunds are decided solely by Apple — developers cannot issue or influence them.
  • Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com (sign in with the Apple ID used for the purchase, choose the ExpoCut charge, and state the reason), or via the App Store app ▸ your purchase history.
  • Apple typically responds within 24–48 hours; approved refunds are returned to your original payment method by Apple.

4. Statutory rights

If you are in the EU, UK, or another region with a statutory withdrawal or cooling-off right (for example the 14-day right of withdrawal for digital purchases), that right is honoured by the store you bought from, under its process. Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable consumer rights you have under local law.

5. What happens to your license after a refund

  • When a store notifies us that a purchase was refunded, the associated license is revoked on all your devices and the account returns to the Free plan. Your projects and media stay on your device.
  • If the store later reverses a refund, access is restored automatically.
  • A refund or chargeback also voids any affiliate commission and any store-managed buyer offer attached to that payment, per our Terms (section 2C).

6. Trials and promotional offers

  • Store trials and introductory offers: eligibility, duration, price and renewal terms are displayed by Apple or Google before purchase. Refund requests for a charged subscription follow the applicable store process above.
  • Apple Offer Codes: free or discounted iOS subscription periods are redeemed and managed by Apple. Any later charged renewal and refund request follow Apple's displayed terms and refund process.
  • Referral attribution: an ExpoCut referral code does not alter an iOS price or unlock paid iOS access. Any buyer discount must appear as an eligible store-managed offer before confirmation.
