A reel template is a finished video project with the content taken out. The hard part of a good reel — how long each cut sits on screen, when the text lands, how the grade shifts on the beat — is already solved and saved. What is left are slots: the clips, photos, lines of text and music track that make it yours.
Start with aspect ratio and screen time. 9:16 goes to Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts; 4:5 is the tallest the Instagram feed allows. Screen time tells you how much footage you need before you start.
Every card lists its slots — how many video clips, photos, lines of text and music tracks it expects. A one-slot template is a 30-second job; a 12-clip montage is a proper edit.
“Use Template” hands it straight to ExpoCut on your phone and opens it ready to fill. Everything after that is a normal project — trim, retime, restyle, add layers.

9:16 is the vertical shape for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. 4:5 is the tallest shape the Instagram and Facebook feed allows. 1:1 suits square feed posts, and 16:9 is for YouTube and website embeds.
