v0.4.0
June 16, 2026
Latest
Our biggest creative update yet — shader-powered looks, video-in-text titles, richer masking, brand kits, and a larger automation surface for AI assistants.
New
Create
- Video in Text. Fill any text layer with a video or image for bold kinetic-typography titles.
- Shader transitions. A new family of GPU-driven scene transitions — cover-and-reveal wipes, ink dissolve, slice wipe, tile flip and more — bringing the transition library to 49.
- Generative background shaders. A refreshed catalog of animated gradient and atmospheric backdrops, each with a transparent-overlay mode so you can composite it over your own footage.
- Shape Widget. Drop in rows of animated shapes as a single, configurable timeline layer.
- Advanced masking. Geometric mask shapes — linear, mirror, triangle, star, heart and freeform — with rotation, plus per-layer gradient fade masks for soft edges.
- Light-leak overlays. A curated catalog of cinematic light leaks to warm up any clip.
- App-promo toolkit. A Phone Mockup Reveal effect and a turnkey App Branding template for product intros.
- Brand kits & template theming. Apply your colors, fonts, logo and watermark across an entire template in a single tap.
Improved
Polish & performance
- Filter parity. Color filters now look identical in the editor preview and the final export, everywhere.
- Smoother editing. Timeline, scrubbing and playback are faster and steadier, with lower idle CPU.
- Predictable sizing. Newly added media fits the canvas cleanly, with consistent resize and drag behavior.
- AI agent connector. The optional in-app connector now exposes 194 tools — including one-call template import, template theming, widget data, and export-parity verification. It stays disabled by default and binds only to a local interface.
Fixed
Bug fixes
- Corrected a text-backdrop orientation issue on certain shaped title styles.
- Resolved a rare black-frame issue affecting a few exported effects.
- Numerous export and layout consistency fixes across iOS and Android.
